Business Development Coordinator- Senior Officer/ Assistant Manager

  • Identify and analyze the potential opportunities of Grants & Fundraising & To research relevant Trusts, organizations, individuals, and Grant-making bodies to take related actions for the fund. 
  • Update funding pipeline tools, keeping an accurate database of opportunities, proposal development, submissions, and donor meetings. 
  • To prepare all relevant reports required by donors & higher authorities of the organization.
  • To research and identify additional funding opportunities and write compelling applications and proposals to support a range of work.
  • Coordinate, develop, and submit high-quality and engaging funding concept notes and proposals, ensuring content adheres to donor guidelines.
  • Maintain and grow the current portfolio of Grants & Funds. 
  • Close working relationships with the fundraising team and other departments to ensure an integrated income stream that contributes to the department’s overall strategy. 
  • To build relationships with new Organisations, Individuals, Trusts, and Grant & Fund making bodies.
  • Assess the funding opportunity thoroughly to ensure the opportunity is aligned with the organization’s focus area and the donor requirements can be fulfilled.
  • Support grant applicants in refining proposals, including budgets, project deliverables, and MEL plans.
  • Monitor project progress through review of grantee financial and progress reporting, regular communication, and periodic monitoring visits.
  • Contribute to proposal design by brainstorming and researching project activity ideas.
  • Lead the writing of grant & fundraising applications. 
  • Support the reporting process to ensure compliance with funders instructions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest knowledge in fundraising,
  • Building, developing & sustaining external relationships with corporates, major donors, community groups, individual fundraisers, and local authorities.
  • To be responsible for the coordination of own fundraising team.
  • Proactively identify program funding opportunities for new and existing Programs & projects.
  • To maintain the highest standards of fundraising best practice at all times.
  • To make full use of all information and communication technologies to ensure proper communication with doner to ensure funds.
  • Keep up to date with developments in grant fundraising, undertake background research where necessary, and being aware of potential new funding sources.
  • Identify and cultivate new relationship opportunities to secure income from Trusts & Foundations, as well as individual donors, to support the work of the charity
  • Identify opportunities for fundraising with in-country institutional donors and private foundations/corporates.
  • Configures and modifies system forms, processes, and workflows to support new program initiatives or process changes.
  • Oversee grant funding prospect research and funding approaches to continue new grant funder relationship development.
  • Work with colleagues across the organization to develop impact and outcome measures to feedback to funders.
  • Provide support to develop a fundraising strategy for the organization.
  • Maximizing the fundraising potential from all campaigns & events.
  • Ensuring implementation of systems & processes to ensure the integrity of the funds raised.
  • Participate in cross-team initiatives, particularly those related to fundraising and financial targets.
  • Contribute to planning and knowledge sharing.
