Position Title: Child Protection Officer

The Child Protection Officer will be responsible for ensuring the protection and welfare of children who are at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. They will provide support to children and their families, work with community organizations and government agencies, and implement child protection policies and procedures. The Child Protection Officer will collaborate with other professionals such as social workers, police officers, and healthcare providers to investigate cases of child abuse or neglect and to provide the necessary services and support to the children and their families.
Develop, implement, and monitor child protection policies and procedures in accordance with national and international standards.
Provide support and guidance to children and their families who are at risk of abuse, neglect or exploitation.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in child protection.
Knowledge of child protection policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation and international standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good report writing and documentation skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to travel to field locations as required.
This position requires a high level of dedication, commitment, and sensitivity to the needs of children and their families. The Child Protection Officer must be able to work under pressure and prioritize competing demands while maintaining a professional and ethical approach.
