38 goats/sheep of the OBBS project were vaccinated to prevent Diarrhea (scours)
A monthly meeting with the beneficiary parents of Mojar School: Manpura was held on 14 August 2021, Saturday. It is noted that the monthly meeting is normally held on the second Saturday of every month. The topic of this month’s meeting was “Goat/sheep rearing and prevention of Diarrhea (scours) during monsoon”. The veterinarian in charge of the treatment of all animal’s given through the OBBS project in Monpura discussed how to take care of the goat/sheep during monsoon and how to prevent Diarrhea (scours) in goats/sheep in this season. The program officer of the OBBS project in Monpura was also present at the monthly meeting.
At the end of the monthly meeting, all sick goats/sheep got proper treatment. Some common diseases of these sick sheeps and goats were Diarrhea (scours),flatulence, fever, sore throat and swelling of the mouth etc.
38 goats got vaccines to prevent Diarrhea (scours). Other goats got treatment as required.
At the end of the monthly meeting and treatment, the program officer visited the homes of 13 beneficiaries. In this visit, he arranged the making of special beds for goats with wood and bash in the house of 6 beneficiaries. So, This will help the beneficiaries to keep goats safe from water in the monsoon.

Through Odommo-Bangladesh-Better-Stories (OBBS), Mojar-School is changing underprivileged family’s life. It has activities both in Dhaka as well as remote chor of Monpura, Bhola. For Dhaka, we are providing income sources such as rickshaws, Van, Small shops, Sewing machines, etc. On the other hand, for remote chor Monpura, we are providing cattle farming as an income source. This project is ongoing.
