Free-Nutritious-Food- Delivered to 14,309 Underprivileged Street Children by Mojar-School
Already two months have passed since the year 2021 started. Mojar-School wants to be by the side of the underprivileged street-children as many more months and years pass by. Last month, in February 2021, we told you a story about a boy named Shamim. Mojar-School has been delivering free-nutritious-food regularly to Shamim since the Covid-19 pandemic started.
Mojar-School is grateful for your support; we are successfully easing the struggle of thousands of street-children like Shamim. These street-children don’t have to suffer on an empty stomach or rely on drugs and crime because of hunger. Mojar-School will always be there for the street-children to provide free-nutritious-food for the street-children every day.
In this article, we are presenting you with a brief food-program update for February 2021.
Free-Nutritious-Food Delivering Update
In February 2021, Mojar-School has provided free-nutritious-food to 14,309 underprivileged street-children through Mojar-School food-program. Of these, 71% were street-children in Dhaka; while the remaining 29% were underprivileged-children outside Dhaka, including the remote chor of Monpura and the tea state of Sylhet.
We try to bring variation in the food menu every month. The menu includes milk-egg, rice-vegetables, rice-egg, rice-fish, chicken khichuri, chicken polao, and our famous egg-khichuri, to differentiate the taste of the underprivileged-children. To ensure the proper amount of nutrition for the street-children, we included milk once a week. While arranging the meals ensuring the nutritional value of food is our priority and giving protein the utmost importance.
For the first time, we started Mojar-School food-program in the Sylhet district. Collaborating with an organization called “Usha” we provide free-nutritious-food to the underprivileged-children of the employees working at the tea-state of Sylhet.
Birthdays and Other Events
Although in the past days, mostly birthdays were celebrated with street-children through Mojar-School, this month we organized various types of events. Alongside birthdays, there were death anniversaries, seeking blessings for parents, cultural events, and collaboration events too. This proves that you guys are remembering the street-children on every occasion of your lives. For that, all of our well-wishers deserved an applaud from Mojar-School.
This February 2021, our well-wishers have celebrated a total of 12 events through Mojar-School. All these events had good quality-food (chicken-khichuri, chicken-polao, and chicken-biriyani) for the children instead of regular meals and most importantly your love.
Mojar School’s Well-Wishers
Mojar-School’s well-wishers have directly helped us reach out to a large number of street-children in February 2021. All of them have donated through the bKash app and the official website of Mojar-School.
Also, the encouragement of thousands of well-wishers through social media has further strengthened our confidence.
Long-term Plan & Impact
Mojar-School believes that long-term solutions will not come by only delivering free-nutritious-food. We must ensure the education of underprivileged-children. Now, 50% of the underprivileged-children are enlightened by the light of education through the efforts of Mojar-School for the last 08 years. Mojar-School will keep moving ahead with a plan to ensure education for the remaining 50% of the children very soon.
Thank You Note for Donors
Lastly, we would like to thank all the donors and well-wishers. Today, with your support, Mojar-School has become a place of trust for hundreds of underprivileged street-children. Without you all, we would never be able to deliver free-nutritious-food to 14,309 underprivileged-children in February 2021.
